City employment program sends 15 workers to Qatar

ILOILO CITY, Nov. 22 (PNA)– Fifteen Ilonggos, hired through the city government’s special recruitment activity, have just flown to Qatar to work, according to the Public Employment Service Office (PESO).
In a report to Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog, PESO-Iloilo City manager Alan Zaldivar said the workers, who left Tuesday for Qatar, were employed as service and delivery crew, and food handlers.
They are products of the special recruitment activity which PESO conducted in September, he said.
Last month, 34 workers who also found jobs through PESO were deployed to Kuwait to work in hotel and food industries.
Both workers for Qatar and Kuwait were under the agency, Lead Resources Management Corp. (PNA)
